African Academy of Finance (AAFi)

Mission

The main mission of the African Academy of Finance (AAFi) is to build capacity in finance for African financial markets.

Objectives

Train professionals and executives of African financial markets.

Contribute to the continuing education of competencies in the financial sector.

Ensure the professional recognition of some of the occupations in stock exchanges and financial markets, in collaboration with the local and regional financial markets’ authorities.

Encourage the diffusion of financial and stock exchange culture in African countries.

Create a suitable environment for financial innovation.

The Academy AAFi will offer certifications to professionals aiming to practice one of the following financial professions: broker-dealer, financial planner, portfolio manager, investment counsellor, specialist in crowdfunding, specialist in Islamic finance, financial risk manager…

In the long run, the Academy AAFi will become a Pan-African university specialized in financial engineering, quantitative economics, statistics and insurance. The creation of this university will contribute permanently to the training of high-level researchers and professionals and sharing of state-of-the-art knowledge in the fields of finance, economics and insurance.

The specific objectives assigned to the future university

Participate in the production and diffusion of knowledge in the fields of finance, economic and insurance.
