Professor Issouf Soumaré, President of INSTITUTE SOUMARÉ OF FINANCE, gave a three-day training seminar on Monte Carlo simulations and its applications in financial and economic modelling to the staff of the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO for its French acronym). The training took place at the Central Bank’s headquarters in Dakar Senegal in March 4-6, 2020. During his visit, Prof. Soumaré had mentoring working sessions with the researchers of the COFEB (the training and research arm of the Central Bank) to discuss their research projects and guide them. This technical visit was part of the operationalisation of the MOU between COFEB-BCEAO and Laval University, which was signed under the leadership of Prof. Soumaré when he was Director of International Relations of the Faculty of Business Administration of Laval University (Canada).
