COUNTRY RATING SOUMARÉ
There are several credit rating agencies, unfortunately the credit ratings granted by these agencies do not always make it possible to establish a clear difference between African countries, since many fall into the same category of credit in these existing ratings. This hardly provides the necessary insight into the specific credit quality of each African country, given that there are notable differences between African countries given their political and socio-economic realities. These rankings therefore do not facilitate decision-making either.
The objective of the “Country Rating Soumaré” is to provide a fair portrait of sovereign credit rating specific to each African country, devoid of any bias and which can serve as the basis for reliable decision-making. These rankings are based on a rigorous and robust methodology that combines quantitative and qualitative analysis, supported by expert opinions.
